These tests on Blankos Block Party were conducted under our Grey Box penetration testing service.
The main goal, is to check the validity of security across all sectors of the title. We covered a wide range of services working in collaboration with the team at Mythical to cover a variety of both gameplay and backend services.
These services included:
- Matchmaking system
- World creation tools
- Player interactions
- Physics (meaning player movement and attacking)
- Party and clan systems
- In-game transactions
- Mini-games
- Quests
Results
Through our testing, we discovered a range of vulnerabilities across multiple services. Many of these were deemed critical to high-level vulnerabilities by the developers and were subsequently secured following our tests. Once our testing was complete, we ran a full set of sanity and regression tests.
